Flaneur Gallery

When you are accustomed to seeing something in the same way day after day you tend to forget the beauty that is held within it. With my work I take the observer to a place they have been before but have not seen in such a way. This allows the viewer to experience a new perspective on his or her own world and their place in it. It allows them to find the inherent beauty in all things. Be it the beauty of a flower or the simplicity of form.

My inspiration and ideas develop from shapes and forms and their interaction with light. I look at the way the positive and negative parts of the object work with each other. I enjoy playing with form and function in my sculpture. What was it? What could it be turned into to bring out the personality of the object(s)? I enjoy bringing out the beauty of everyday things.
